Lockport Council PTA
Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a collaborative group of parents, teachers, administrators, and other concerned adults who discuss ways to promote quality education, strive to expand the arts, encourage community involvement, and work for a healthy environment and safe neighborhoods. PTA is the largest volunteer child advocacy association in the nation. The latest study on effective schools reports that 75% of those effective schools had a PTA unit.
Lockport has a PTA unit associated with each of our schools, starting with Kindergarten. We also have a Council PTA comprised of delegates representing each of our 8 PTA units. Our PTA’s are member units of the Niagara Region PTA, New York State PTA, and the National PTA.
